We are a research group at ETRO, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, working at the intersection of machine learning, signal processing, and information theory within the ERC project IONIAN. We are always looking for curious, rigorous people — PhD candidates, postdocs, and interns — to join us.
Turn cutting-edge research into rock-solid, real-time systems. You'll help ship multi-agent, multimodal LLM pipelines and machine-perception stacks on embedded hardware for distributed devices at the edge — smart mobility, retail, industrial automation. Full-time contract; start 1 October 2026 (earlier possible).
A senior, long-term role acting as a right hand to the PI (Prof. Nikos Deligiannis), supporting the coordination, growth, and outreach of a 20+ researcher group around the ERC Consolidator Grant IONIAN. Combines project management, proposal development and funding acquisition, and external representation. Full-time (100% FTE), extendable until at least May 2030; start 1 October 2026.
